How to join the Round Tables?

1) Read the description of the Round Tables: LINK

2) Create your profile and become a member of the community: LINK

3) Choose your group of interest and click on JOIN

4) Explore the group and check if there are some open topics of your interest. If yes, you can write a comment on the Post

5) If your topic is not open yet, click on "Create a Post"

Rules

1. Be Respectful and Courteous

  • Treat everyone with respect, regardless of background, nationality, or opinions.

  • Avoid offensive language, personal attacks, or discriminatory comments.

  • Engage in constructive conversations, even during disagreements.

2. Stay On-Topic

  • Keep your posts relevant to the Erasmus experience (studying abroad, travel tips, cultural exchange, etc.).

  • Use the appropriate forum sections for specific topics (e.g., accommodation, university advice, travel, etc.).

  • Avoid spamming or posting unrelated content.

3. No Self-Promotion or Advertising

  • Do not use the forum to promote businesses, products, or services.

  • Sharing personal experiences is welcome, but blatant self-promotion is prohibited.

  • If you wish to advertise relevant events, ask for permission from the moderators.

4. Respect Privacy and Anonymity

  • Do not share personal contact information (e.g., phone numbers, addresses) publicly.

  • Respect the privacy of other users. Do not share photos, names, or details without their consent.

  • Avoid asking for sensitive information from others.

5. Use Clear and Inclusive Language

  • Write clearly and avoid using slang or abbreviations that may not be understood by non-native speakers.

  • Try to communicate in a language that everyone can understand (e.g., English, if it's the common language of the forum).

  • Be patient with users who are not fluent in the language used on the forum.

6. Help Others

  • Share your Erasmus experiences, tips, and advice to support others in the community.

  • Be welcoming to new members and offer assistance where possible.

  • Use positive reinforcement and encouragement when responding to questions or concerns.

7. Report Violations

  • If you come across content that violates these rules, report it to the moderators.

  • Do not engage in arguments or try to handle violations on your own. Let the moderation team handle it.

8. No Plagiarism

  • Share your own experiences and knowledge. Do not copy content from other sources without giving proper credit.

  • If you quote someone else's work, provide a link or citation to the original source.

9. Be Culturally Sensitive

  • Erasmus is a multicultural experience, so be mindful of different customs, traditions, and perspectives.

  • Avoid making assumptions about other cultures and approach discussions with an open mind.

10. Follow Local Laws and University Policies

  • When discussing Erasmus activities, make sure to follow the laws of your host country and the policies of your university.

  • Do not promote illegal activities or encourage behavior that violates local regulations.

11. Keep the Forum Clean

  • Avoid posting duplicate threads or flooding the forum with unnecessary content.

  • Before starting a new thread, check if a similar topic already exists.

  • Use descriptive titles for your posts so that others can easily find relevant information.

12. Use Appropriate Language

  • This forum should be a friendly and professional environment. Avoid using excessive profanity or inappropriate jokes.

  • Be mindful of the tone you use, especially in written communication, as it can easily be misinterpreted.

13. Have Fun and Share Positivity

  • This forum is a space to celebrate the Erasmus experience. Share your positive moments, successes, and the things that made your Erasmus journey memorable.

  • Participate in forum games, challenges, or collaborative projects to make the community more engaging.

These guidelines aim to create a welcoming, supportive, and safe environment for all Erasmus participants. Following these rules will help ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
